This a five-year program which requires 900 hours of classroom instruction and at least 8000 hours of
on-the-job training. The curriculum will be delivered over a five-year period and includes classroom/lab
courses along with on-the-job training co-op courses. Classes will take place at the IBEW Local #265 Training
Center at 1415 Old Farm Road in Lincoln. Your on-the-job training will take place at job sites located within
the IBEW Local #265.

Program Description:
Prepare to be in an exciting and fast-paced career which provides opportunities in a variety of industries
which include aerospace, petrochemical, oil and gas, transportation, buildings and bridges and
power generation. NDT uses various inspection techniques designed to determine integrity without
causing damage or destroying the material. Students will develop essential skills in the areas of visual
inspection, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonics, radiography and eddy current testing
techniques. In addition, graduates will learn advanced inspection methods involving the application of
phased array ultrasound, multi-frequency eddy current, along with computed and digital radiography
methods. These skills are in high demand and will position you to have several job opportunities and
attractive starting wages.

Get ready for an exciting, fast-paced career in manufacturing and become one of SCC's highly sought-after
Precision Machining graduates. Specialize in tool making, mold making, CNC machining and manufacturing
automation in our 15,000-square-foot Eicher Technical Center in Milford, one of the largest precisionmachining training facilities. You’ll have detailed instruction and access to use state-of-the-art, high-end
CNC equipment such as VMC and CNC lathes with live tooling and EDM technology with both wire and
sinker. Haas, Okuma, Charmilles and Makino are just some of the manufacturers that are represented.
You’ll also learn to program and design components and assemblies through computer software like
MasterCAM, SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Throughout your studies, you’ll also design and build various
projects relevant to the mold, die, and automated-equipment industry, too.

to spot changes in how hot metal flows? If you answered yes, then this program is for you.

You’ll receive classroom instruction and extensive hands-on training about current welding practices
and procedures, metallurgy, destructive and nondestructive testing, inspection and the principles of
fabrication and design. The program meets the American Welding Society, American Petroleum Institute
and American Society of Mechanical Engineers standards. Some of the welding processes utilized are
shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, flux cored arc and submerged arc welding. Cutting
processes include oxyfuel and plasma arc.
