School of Ministry
The 2021-2022 academic year was filled with monumental opportunities which have the School of Ministry poised
for a future aligned with Richmont’s mission and vision. In the spring, the Southern Association for Colleges
and Schools approved a level-change for Richmont. Our inaugural doctoral degree is the Doctor of Ministry in
Spiritual Formation and Leadership.
The School of Ministry is also pleased to continue its partnership with The Transforming Center, a retreat center
and hub of stewarding Christian leadership. Through this collaboration, participants at The Transforming Center
may earn credit towards their Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation and Direction.
Richmont’s School of Ministry seeks to continue bearing good fruit for the furthering of Christ’s Kingdom, striving
Certicate in Racial Trauma,
Intervention and Justice
for the restoration of communities and the transformation of lives through the power of the Gospel.
Coming Fall 2022, Richmont will launch its new Certificate in Racial
Trauma, Intervention and Justice. This is the first collaborative
program between the School of Counseling and School of Ministry.
It will empower students to meet the challenges of racial justice as
practitioner-scholars at the nexus of history, counseling psychology,
and theology. Through a generous donation, the Dare to Hope
Scholarship was formed to fund tuition for the inaugural cohort.
“The launch of the new Doctor of Ministry degree
signals a monumental step for advancing Richmont’s
mission to provide healing, restoration, and
transformation in the world today. This level change is
a milestone for our University that will pay dividends
of positive social change for years to come.”
