Finalists are afforded two to three minutes to
present their poster, followed by a question
and answer session with interested attendees
and the selection committee.
The presenter with the highest aggregate
score among abstract, poster, and Q&A
session for each of the two categories
(management and clinical trials) is awarded
$500 and a fee waived registration to the
2024 Annual Conference to the primary author
Special recognition awards will be announced
(and awarded) at the beginning of the Sunday
morning closing plenary session

Conversation about Public Health in Philadelphia
Various Philadelphia communities experienced health
inequities in the absence of a global pandemic, and
COVID-19 exacerbated many barriers to quality
healthcare. Community leaders, researchers, healthcare
workers, students and non-profits work to identify
inequities and implement solutions to enhance the health
of these communities. Ms. Simmons will discuss the long
journey to health equity, its successes and failures along
the way, and how the pandemic provided opportunities
to innovate methods to improve the health of
