How do I know if I have
the flu?
Because both the flu and
COVID-19 are respiratory
viruses, their symptoms can
be quite similar. “Common
symptoms include fever,
cough, sore throat, fatigue,
runny nose, body aches, and
sometimes gastrointestinal
distress, including vomiting,”
says Barron. “The only way to
know which virus you have
is to get tested. Call your
doctor’s office for guidance.
Testing will confirm what
you have and enable your
doctor to prescribe the right
antiviral medication and help
you feel better faster.” +
