For the eighth year in a row, SVHC was named one of the Best
Places to Work by Vermont Business Magazine, continuing its streak
as the only hospital in the state of Vermont to earn the recognition.
Earning a spot on the prestigious list requires that a minimum of 400
randomly selected employees provide largely positive feedback on a
series of confidential, in-depth surveys. Conducted by a third-party
agency, the surveys cover all aspects of the workplace environment,
including leadership, supervisors, co-workers, tools and resources,
satisfaction, benefits, and more.
“Our employees are truly what make SVHC a great place to work,” said
Thomas A. Dee, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of
SVHC. “They look at challenges as opportunities, and their comradery
and teamwork during the pandemic have been exemplary. I am deeply
grateful for each and every one of them.”

VALUING EMPLOYEES
A culture of caring for
those who care

For Kevin Tassone, it’s the culture and people that make SVHC such a
great place to work. “It’s a very friendly and positive environment where
nearly everyone is on a first-name basis,” he says. “Leadership is always
receptive to new ideas and lends a hand when needed, and, in the case
of my boss, even covers shifts so others can take time off. I’m happy to
be a part of a great organization.”
