“Staying connected to community is always important,” says SVHC
Chief Medical Officer Trey Dobson. “It’s especially true in times of crisis.”
In an effort to combat the sense of uncertainty and isolation many
were feeling in early 2021, SVHC launched a weekly interactive digital
program called Medical Matters Weekly. Hosted by Dobson, the medicalthemed talk show features a variety of guests ranging from traditional
and holistic medical experts to Olympic athletes to COVID survivors and
offers a behind-the-scenes perspective on health care and the interesting
personalities driving change within the industry.
Garnering more than 1,100 views on Facebook and YouTube and 1,200
podcast downloads, the 30-minute program quickly gained a loyal
following, with viewers especially appreciating the ability to engage with
the host and guest in real time via the chat feature on Facebook.

SVHC Today goes virtual

Panelists—including SVHC’s chief medical officer, an infectious disease physician, and primary
care providers from the region—shared the latest advice on travel, vaccinations, COVID and flu
prevention to virtual audiences in Bennington and nearby towns; Manchester and the Northshire;
Wilmington and Deerfield Valley; Williamstown and the northern Berkshires; and Hoosick Falls.
