Building a better approach
Under clear August skies and with medical staff, employees, supporters, and
community members looking on, SVHC leaders broke ground on the new Kendall
Emergency Department.
Among the onlookers was Dr. Adam Cohen, Medical Director of the Emergency
Rendering of The Richard and Pamela Ader Foundation Lobby
Department, who observed, “The new facility will dramatically improve the overall
care experience for patients and families and provide our clinical team with the
setting and tools to practice critical care at the highest level.”
The project doubles the square footage of the department, reducing wait times,
providing much-needed behavioral health treatment areas, and improving access
to critical specialty services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and elsewhere via telehealth.
