Learning (CFL) recently?
No? Then you are missing out! The Sysmex Instructional
Design (ID) team has been busy enhancing and expanding
the training e-learning portfolio based on customer
feedback. If you recently filled out an e-learning
satisfaction survey, you may find one of your suggestions
Recent updates to the site have given it a new look and
feel, as well as making it easier to navigate.
“It became obvious in the survey responses, as well as
messages to our inbox, that aspects of the site were
getting in the way of customers trying to complete training
or access their training records. It was important for us
to find a modern, intuitive tool that put the needs of the
learner first,” explained Zach Siejka, Manager, Business
Systems & Technology.
In addition to an improved user interface, the ID team is
using a new software program to create e-learning that is
more visually appealing, engaging and interactive.
“The new authoring tool has given us the ability to better
meet the needs of our customers. We are in the process of
redesigning the e-learning curriculum into micro learning
and on-demand training to address customer feedback,”
states Joy Carr, Senior Instructional Designer.
Clinical labs are very busy places and customers want
training that can fit into their tight schedules. Shorter,
“bite sized” training modules allow for maximum learning
flexibility. In addition, the ID team has started on-demand
video libraries where customers can easily reference
Looking into the future, the Sysmex ID team has an eye on
mobile e-learning and adaptive components that would
allow the learner to skip over content for which they are

Our training programs are built to meet the needs of our customers and, for that reason, we depend
on our customers to tell us what is working and what is not. The Sysmex CFL has won a number
of prestigious training awards, including a Brandon Hall gold award in 2020 for ‘Best Customer
Training Program’. To continue to be recognized as an industry leader in training, an open line of
communication with our customers will be key.
