View Andy Hay's Lab Week thank
you message here.
It is almost April, and April means Lab Week is here. Lab Week is important as we get to celebrate you and laboratory
workers everywhere for all that you’ve done. It’s an opportunity to call out the contributions you make to healthcare.
We depend upon you to provide the diagnostic testing that helps determine the next steps or treatment options for a
patient, a patient that is someone’s loved one.
We especially love Lab Week here at Sysmex because many of us, myself included, are laboratorians. We know the hard
work you do and the challenges you face. We understand your passion for medical laboratory science and the desire to
continue to learn and provide the best possible diagnostic testing.
As we celebrate Lab Week, we want to celebrate you and all you do. In this issue, you will find an article outlining
activities we have planned to help you celebrate Lab Week. Visit www.sysmex.com/labweek for activities and a list of
webinars we are highlighting, including “Empathy and Resilience on the Bench: Creating a Culture of Continuous Quality
in the Midst of Chaos” on April 27.
This issue also includes a case study on red cell rouleaux, information on granular casts in urinalysis and another “Do
You Remember…” column. Learn more about our “Ask the Instructors” sessions and check out a story about one of our
service engineers. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the AACC’s Clinical Lab Expo, which is in Chicago this year.
We hope you enjoy this issue, and we hope that you are recognized for your outstanding contributions this Lab Week.
Thank you for all you do!n
