THIRD PARTY FUNDRAISING
Praxis Engineering, along with over 40 sponsors and roughly 250 golfers raised $35,000 to benefit The
Baltimore Station. The 12th Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held on June 6 at Compass Pointe
Golf Course in Pasadena, MD. Praxis Engineering is a leading provider of software development and
system engineering, service, and solutions to the Federal Government.
Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA) raised $10,000 and celebrated over a decade of
supporting The Baltimore Station during their annual golf outing’s 21st anniversary. Participants
enjoyed 18 holes of golf, food, drink, raffles and giveaways and interacted with residents from The
Baltimore Station who helped with the putting and hole in one contests, among other activities.
Shootout for Soldiers Baltimore was a 24-hour lacrosse event in June raising over $200,000 to support
local veteran organizations. A percentage of the funds raised went directly to programming and services
offered at The Baltimore Station.
Music Healing Heroes – In August, the 4th Annual Music Healing Heroes concert took place at MECU
Pier Six Pavilion. This year’s music line-up featured regional favorites like The Ravyns, Midnite Run,
Leather and Lace – Fleetwood Mac Tribute and concert headliner Crack the Sky along with the Crackpack Horns. The mission of the Veterans’ Benefit Concert is to raise funds for non-profit organizations
providing services to our veterans including The Baltimore Station.
In September at the 6th Annual Frank Hughes Jr. Memorial Rock for Vets, guests jammed to a
variety of live classic rock, acoustic big band/swing, rock and roll, heavy metal, acoustic roots and blues
performances from local bands. In addition to live music, the event featured food and drinks, raffle prizes,
50/50 and more.
