Rositta Ehrlich Kenigsberg,
Founding Chair of the first Children
of Holocaust Survivors group of
Southeastern Florida in 1981, is a
daughter of a Holocaust Survivor,
born in the Displaced Persons

She is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal,

of the Holocaust Documentation and Education Center
Inc., the organization she has been a part of for 37 years.
From 1983-1986, she was named one of six Second

teaching of Holocaust Education for all Florida students
from K-12. In 1995, she was appointed to serve as the

citizens” and congratulated her “for her contributions to
Holocaust Education and to Holocaust Survivors as well
as their children”.
Over the years, Ms. Kenigsberg has received
numerous awards and recognition and one of her
favorites was when the Urban League recognized her
for her “extraordinary achievements in social justice
and race relations” and was presented with the Margaret
Roach Humanitarian Award. Currently, her primary
focus is raising the needed funding to complete the first
South Florida Holocaust Museum so that our beloved
Survivors’ Legacy of Remembrance will live on for
generations to come.

Providing Home Care Services in Palm Beach and Broward County
Michele Farkas, RN BSN
After living in NY all my life and working as a Nursing Administrator for a home care company in Brooklyn,
NY, I decided to leave when shoveling snow became a second job. I moved here with my sons in 2005
and started my own home care company after working for other companies and realizing that I had an
opportunity to provide the type of care that they couldn’t. Today, I have 2 offices servicing patients in Broward
and Palm Beach Counties.
I have over 20 years experience as a Nursing Administrator and owner, and even more as a Registered Nurse. I know how
care “should” be. As a daughter, I cared for my parents. As a home care company owner, I can coordinate and implement care
plans that are individual and evolve with my patients’ needs.
I advocate extensively for my patients with all providers, including long term care insurance companies, MDs and ancillary
providers, and will work to ensure that you not only get a wonderful care giver but that all insurance policies are accessed and
every possible resource and benefit is carefully reviewed and utilized.
I love what I do and I am always available to my patients and their families, and the bulletin board by my desk is filled with
thank you notes from many of them.
We provide many services including home health aide care, medication management, RN visits, Long Term Care Insurance
policy analysis and planning, and comprehensive care management.
