Transfer Success
NATIONAL
Transfer rates are becoming a more important indicator of postsecondary success since more than
half of all Texas students enter higher education through a public two-year college. Students who
transfer with 30 or more semester credit hours (SCH) are more likely to graduate within four years
of transfer than are students who transfer with fewer than 30 SCH. Differences in transfer rates by
ethnicity are also notable.
