yourself;
but if you listen to correction, you grow
in understanding.
How much better to get wisdom than gold,
and good judgment than silver!

The path of the virtuous leads away from
evil;
whoever follows that path is safe.

We can make our own plans,
but the LORD gives the right
answer.
People may be pure in their own eyes,
but the LORD examines their motives.
15:24 Hebrew Sheol.
15:31-32 If we really want to learn and grow, we must be willing to be held accountable by receiving
constructive criticism from others (see 10:8; 13:18; 15:5; 25:12). It is hard for many of us to receive
reproof because even when it is shared in love, it hurts. Our tendency may be to ignore correction to avoid
being hurt by such criticism. We would be wise to ask for feedback from people we respect. That way we
will learn from our mistakes and grow in maturity.
