25
The generous will prosper;
those who refresh others will
themselves be refreshed.
9
26
People curse those who hoard their grain,
but they bless the one who sells in time
of need.
Better to be an ordinary person with
a servant
than to be self-important but have

11:24-25 One of the things we can give away is encouragement. When we share our victories, and even
our failures, others will be strengthened for the battles ahead. As we share our experience of spiritual
renewal with others, they will gain insights and encouragement.
12:15 Changing sinful patterns of behavior may require the help of people we trust and respect (see
12:26; 15:22; 19:20). We cannot live life successfully all by ourselves. Growing toward spiritual and
emotional maturity is a process that requires the help of trustworthy people who can guide us with care
and hold us accountable as we try to make changes.
12:16 It is foolish for us to lose our temper when we are insulted. We demonstrate maturity by staying
self-controlled and expressing our anger without sinning.
