Have you ever asked your friends, “Who is Jesus?” If you have, you
probably got a variety of responses. here’s what the bible says about him:
Jesus means “the Lord saves” (see Matthew 1:21).
One day, Jesus will return, sin and death will end,
and God will live with his people forever in a

Who else from history ever silenced a storm (Mark 4:35-41)? Or
brought a dead twelve-year-old girl back to life (Mark 5:21-43)? Or
fed a crowd of thousands from one small sack lunch (Mark 6:3344)? Or walked on water (Mark 6:49)?
Among many other things, Jesus claimed to be the bread of life
(John 6:35), the light of the world (John 8:12), God in human form
(John 8:54-58), and the one and only way to God (John 14:6).
John said Jesus came to show us what God is like (John
1:18). Jesus himself said he came “to seek and save those
who are lost” (Luke 19:10). In another place Jesus said he
came to give his followers new life—a full and meaningful
life that never ends (John 10:10).
