You can help others by sharing your abundance with those who have less. Be open to the
prompting of the Holy Spirit and opportunities that come to you, for they may be God asking you to be his helper.
• E C C L E S I A S T E S 4 :9 -1 0 | Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other
succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone
is in real trouble.
• R O MA NS 1 6 :2 | Help her in whatever she needs, for she has been helpful to many.
You can help others by being available. When people try to do it all themselves, they are
limited by their weaknesses. But when you depend on each other for help, you compensate for one person’s weakness with another person’s strength. Asking for help is not a
sign of weakness, but a mark of unity.
• R O MA NS 1 2 :1 3 | When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager
to practice hospitality.
You can help others by showing hospitality.
• A C T S 1 6 :9 | That night Paul had a vision: A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was
standing there, pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!”
You can help other believers grow spiritually.
• G A L AT I A NS 6 :1 | If another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should
gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path.
You can help other believers who have stumbled in their walk with God, showing them
how to restore their relationship with him.
How should I respond when God offers his help?
• PSA L M 6 6 :1 7 | For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. (See note on page 512.)
In asking God for help, we must have two hands lifted to God, one begging for help and
one full of thanks and praise.

• PSA L M 2 3 :1 -3 | The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green

way of living. Holiness is the absence of sin, evil, and wrongdoing. It is being spotlessly
free from blemish. But holiness is much more than the absence of sin. It is the presence
of righteousness, purity, and godliness. When we become Christians, God makes us holy
by forgiving our sins. He looks at us as though we had never sinned. But while he sees
