Future continued
being redeemed, saved, and washed clean by the Lord’s salvation. You will then be good
because he is good, honest because he is perfect, and peace loving because he is peace.
What are some promises I can look forward to in my future with God?
• 1 J O H N 3 :2 | Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us
what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we
will see him as he really is.
You will one day be like Christ. You will not be equal to him in power and authority, but you
will be like him in character and perfection, for there is no sin in those who are welcomed
into heaven.
• J E R E MI A H 2 9 :1 1 | “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans
for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
The great plans God has for you will someday be revealed and fulfilled. Spend today
knowing God better. Then tomorrow, you will better know his plans for you.
• J O H N 1 4 :1 -4 | “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There
is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that
I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so
that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.”
When you die, you will go to live with Christ in his home forever.

we will inherit eternal life.
• 1 P E T E R 1 :4 -5 | We have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for
you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith,
God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be
revealed on the last day for all to see.
You will inherit the heavenly riches reserved for God’s children.
• R E V E L AT I O N 3 :5 | “All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their
names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they
are mine.”
You will wear the garments of heaven and will be identified with Christ.
• R E V E L AT I O N 2 1 :4 | “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more
death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
In heaven you will never hurt, cry, have pain, or experience sorrow. Evil will be gone forever.
• C O L O S S I A NS 3 :4 | And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you
will share in all his glory.
You will share the glory that belongs to Christ.
• R E V E L AT I O N 1 1 :1 5 | Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices
shouting in heaven: “The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ,
and he will reign forever and ever.”
• Z E C H A R I A H 1 4 :9 | And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be
one Lord—his name alone will be worshiped.
You will be part of an eternal Kingdom ruled by the Lord God himself. It will be free from
God’s enemies.
• H E B R E W S 2 :1 4 | Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the
Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by
dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
Christ will break the power of death and of Satan.
