How can I acknowledge God’s dignity?
• DA NI E L 4 :3 7 | “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven.
All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”
By repenting and turning to God and acknowledging that he is Lord over all creation.
• R O MA NS 6 :6 -8 | We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin
might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with
Christ we were set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we know we
will also live with him.
By maintaining a loving and trusting personal relationship with God, which acknowledges
that he loves us so much that he was willing to sacrifice his own Son so that we might live
in relationship with him forever.
• PSA L M 8 6 :1 1 | Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.
By striving for a pure heart, which acknowledges our goal of having a heart like God’s.
• PSA L M 1 4 7 :1 1 | No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope
in his unfailing love.
By emulating God’s character, which acknowledges that God’s character is perfect and
we want to be like him.

deep reverence and fear.
By showing God reverence, which acknowledges that he is Lord over all.

peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
By honoring his Son, Jesus Christ, which acknowledges that only through him can we
have salvation and eternal life.

By giving thanks to God, which acknowledges that all we have is from him.

will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will
bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die.
By giving our lives in service to him, which acknowledges that we were created by him and
to live for him.
• R O MA NS 6 :1 3 | Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin.
Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life.
So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
With our bodies, which acknowledges our desire to be a vessel through whom God can
work and desires to work.
• R O MA NS 1 3 :7 | Give respect and honor to those who are in authority.
By respecting others, which acknowledges that everyone is a unique individual created in
God’s image.
• PR O V E R B S 1 4 :3 1 | Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor
honors him.
By meeting others’ needs, which acknowledges our desire to care for others as God cares
for us.
