When a king sits in judgment, he weighs
all the evidence,
distinguishing the bad from the good.
Who can say, “I have cleansed my heart;
I am pure and free from sin”?
False weights and unequal measures*—
the Lord detests double standards
of every kind.

LORD, YOU ARE OUR GREAT SHEPHERD. You keep
watch over us and lovingly meet our every need. I
confess that I felt fear and anxiety looking at emptied
shelves during the coronavirus pandemic. The
unprecedented times left us reeling, as governments

need to stay close to you. You are in control of every
situation. Thank you. Amen.

9 Uzziah built fortified towers in Jerusalem
