10 Citrus Springs Villager December 2017
Veterans Day Car Show
Roy Goyette
Communications Director
On a breezy November 11th the Citrus Springs VFW Post 4864 in conjunction
with the Dunnellon Lions Club sponsored a terrific car, truck and motorcycle show
on the VFW grounds. Vehicles of all kinds were on display from tricked out customs to amazing restored models.
On display was a beautiful, fully restored, award-winning, Model A Ford, along
with a very rare 1963 Studebaker Cruiser in pristine condition. Lots of folks from
all around stopped by to view the vehicles and ask questions to their proud owners.
Many car stories were shared by spectators recalling all the great times, not so great
times, funny stories and all about the car that they always wanted.
This was a very successful event, large enough for a wide variety of vehicles but
small enough that visitors could really take their time to enjoy the memories, sights
and sounds of days gone by.
All proceeds from the event were donated to the Dunnellon Lions Club.
Perfectly restored 1930 Ford Model A.
