Rainbow Springs Artist Cooperative (RSAC) Travelogue – The Grand
Submitted by Sue Primeau
The Grand Canyon is celebrating its 100th anniversary as a national park
this year. When President Theodore Roosevelt visited the Grand Canyon in
1903, he remarked, “the Grand Canyon fills me with awe”, setting the stage for
it to become a national park on February 26, 1919. The Grand Canyon is a 10
mile deep canyon running 277miles along the Colorado River.
What better way to celebrate the preservation of this incredible landscape
and eco-system than to experience the Grand Canyon for yourself through
a travelogue presented by our very own world and nature photographer,
Gary W. Kuhl. Come visit the Grand Canyon on September 24, 2019 from
6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Rainbow Springs Art Cooperative in Dunnellon.
Seating is limited, so tickets must be acquired in advance. Simply stop by the
Rainbow Springs Art Cooperative, in the Dunnellon Historical District, 20804
West Pennsylvania Ave, Dunnellon to reserve your seat for a $4.00 donation
per ticket. Proceeds for the entire event support the on-going High School
Scholarship Fund. Light refreshments will be served and a silent auction will
be held.
