I am neither a Holocaust
survivor nor the family
member of one. So why
thousands like her: young
Holocaust victims who
survived to build a life and
create a personal legacy
through their children,
strength, and good deeds.
In today’s fast-moving
world, we must never
forget from where we came
and the events and people
that shaped who we are
today. We must always keep
our eyes open to prevent
the worst of our histories
from being repeated. The
US Holocaust Memorial
Museum opens our minds
and hearts to the horrors of
this time in history, offering
a tremendous education
in what happened and
how, while instilling in
future generations that
such events must NEVER

the memory of the millions
murdered because of evil
ideologies. The Museum
provides moral education
and fosters an emotional
deepening so needed in the
world. Through its creative
opportunities provided
to young people, the
Museum helps to ensure
that enlightenment and
caring will continue into
the future. We are grateful
to the Museum and glad
for the opportunity to help
further its mission.”
am I so passionate about
the critical importance
of the Museum’s mission?
Even a cursory glimpse of
today’s world, still teeming
with antisemitism and
Holocaust denial 71 years
after the end of World War
II, demonstrates the urgent
need for the Museum.
It catalogues irrefutable
evidence of the Holocaust
to rebut deniers and
educates police officers,
teachers, and others about
the dangers of good people
remaining silent in the face
of unspeakable evil. Finally,
if the Museum is worthy
of the support of the
esteemed Elie Wiesel, it is
certainly more than worthy
of my support.”
