The increasing
frequency of violent
attacks against Jews
living in and escaping
from Germany made
the Museum the natural
choice to be the primary
recipient and beneficiary
of my trust and IRA. I
lived in Washington, DC,
from 1975 to 2013 and
followed the Museum’s
development from concept
to completion, including
volunteering for a while.
My most profound time
was spending a day going
through the Museum with
my mom, who recalled
so much of her abruptly
interrupted young life.

how many times we have
discussed my mother Edith’s
experience during my
lifetime, she always seems to
have another miraculous or
horribly sad story to share.
While I have had the benefit
of firsthand education
related to what was arguably
the darkest period in world
history, most people have no
direct personal connection.
Therefore, I have chosen
to support the Museum to

their background, to have

worldwide is alarming
and terrifying, and the
indifference of world
leaders and lack of media
coverage is a serious cause
for concern. History
shows that mass ignorance
and indifference allow
widespread hatred
to ferment and grow
exponentially. Visitors to
the United States Holocaust
Memorial Museum can
experience the recorded
eyewitness testimony of
survivors, see an actual
train car, view the many
artifacts, and learn the
chronological history
of how the Holocaust
occurred. Proper education
is our ONLY defense against
the Holocaust deniers who
try to rewrite history. This
is why we have proudly
donated to the Museum
since its inception.”
