30th Anniversary Guardians Commemorative Book - Book - Page 9
As we mark 30 years of honoring memory by inspiring action,
more than 47 million people have visited the Museum, and we
engage digitally every day with millions more around the world.
Even our visionary founders could not have imagined the farreaching influence and impact of this living memorial. Yet this
is no time for complacency, especially given rising antisemitism,
hatred, and Holocaust denial. Looking ahead, as we face the loss
of the survivors—our best teachers—how do we ensure that
Holocaust memory remains a relevant force in the 21st century?
As this history recedes, will future generations embrace our
timeless mission with the same understanding and sense of
responsibility that you have shown? What are the consequences
if they don’t?
The Legacy of Light Guardians we honor on the following pages
have made a commitment to secure the Museum’s future.
Through a gift to the institution’s endowment—often through
the power of a bequest or other deferred contribution—they are
leading the way to safeguard truth and ensure the Museum’s
global impact in an increasingly uncertain future. We are
inspired by their actions, awed by their generosity, and grateful
for their enduring dedication.
