Installation Manual Short-Version
Installation
1. Copy the
folder and paste them into x-plane/custom
Scenery
2. In order to overcome the inherent mesh limitations of X-Plane, Gibraltar currently uses an
Ortho4XP tile to prevent default
X-Plane mesh from phasing through The Rock of Gibraltar. This mesh is contained in the
folder 'zSkylineLXGBMesh'. In order for the scenery to work
properly, ensure that this folder is located at the bottom of the list in your scenerypacks.ini
file located in your X-Plane Custom Scenery
folder.
If you would prefer to use your own Ortho4XP tile, Gibraltar includes a patch file for
Ortho4XP!
To use this patch with Ortho4XP, simply drag and drop the included 'Patches' folder into
your root Ortho4XP folder and merge it with the existing Ortho4XP 'Patches' folder.
In Ortho4XP, check the 'Custom DEM file' box under 'Build base mesh'. In the resultant file
system window, navigate to 'Ortho4XPPatches+36-006' and click on the patch file
entitled 'LXGB.patch'. You may double-click the file or single-click it and click 'Open'.
Please ensure that the folder 'zSkylineLXGBMesh' is located at the bottom of the list in your
scenerypacks.ini file located in your X-Plane Custom Scenery folder, or else, the custom
mesh will not work properly.
In order to display autogen overlays over the included Ortho4XP tile, ensure that
'yOrtho4XP_Overlays' is located above 'zSkylineLXGBMesh'in your scenerypacks.ini file.
Ensure that the main airport folder for Gibraltar is located above both of these folders.
