Primary School Report
We are pleased to share this annual report with our dedicated students and
families at VIS. This report highlights a
year marked by inspiring achievements,
educational progress, and a steadfast
dedication to guiding the young minds
in our community. Reflecting on the past
year, it is clear that our school continues
to embody the values and vision of the
IB programme, creating a learning environment where curiosity, empathy, and
global awareness drive our educational
practices.
This report is a tribute to the collective efforts of our students, educators, staff, and
families who have all contributed to the
holistic growth of our learners. By focusing on inquiry-led learning and fostering
internationally minded citizens, we aim to
equip our students with the skills needed
in a rapidly evolving world. Within these
pages, you’ll find a comprehensive look at
our accomplishments, celebrations, and
the ways our community has embraced
the IB spirit. We hope this report will not
only provide insights but also encourage
continued support for our mission to nurture inquiring, inspired, and engaged lifelong learners.
PYP
The International Baccalaureate (IB)
Primary Years Programme (PYP) offers a
student-centred educational experience
for children aged 3–12, prioritizing the
development of the whole child as a curious learner both in school and beyond.
Through the PYP, students learn to take
charge of their own learning, working in
partnership with teachers to build knowledge, boost self-confidence, and nurture
self-driven motivation.
As PYP educators, we are intentional and
reflective in how students learn, consistently aligning our practices with the
programme’s philosophy. We embrace the
IB’s approaches to teaching, which are:
● Grounded in inquiry
● Focused on conceptual understanding,
● Framed within both local and global
contexts
● Responsive to the diverse needs of
learners
● Strengthened by collaborative efforts
and
● Guided by meaningful assessment.
The initiatives outlined below support our
effective implementation of the PYP and
foster a rich learning environment for every student.
