Personal Project
The MYP Personal Project is a student-centered exploration in which Grade
10 students pursue a personal passion
and consolidate their learning throughout
the Middle Years Programme. This longterm project is designed as an independent learning experience that foreshadows the Extended Essay in the Diploma
Programme. In 2023–24, the mandatory
Personal Project exhibition was hosted
in-person, where parents and relatives
enjoyed several student performances in
the Theatre before taking an interactive
tour around the students’ exhibit stations.
The annual external moderation process
conducted by the IB resulted in a 100%
pass rate for our Grade 10 students, with
an average attainment of 4.54 (worldwide
average: 4.02).
Examples of student
projects included:
● Research into the framework of Space
Law
● Analysis of the relationship between
gender and ACL sports injuries
● Theoretical and practical techniques in
portraiture
● Design and construction of an electric
guitar
Grade 10 Formal
Assessment Session
Once again we carried out a set of formal
assessments at the end of the year for
Grade 10 students. This is to give students
an introduction to Diploma Programme
style exam sessions and regulations, and
to encourage the development of the required preparation and revision techniques. In the 2023–24 academic year
all of our Grade 10 students successfully
took part in this formal assessment session with some examinations in the Aula
under strict IB conditions. For the first
