“I still remember
the first day Ms.
Linnau sat us down
as a cohort. The
one thing she said that resonated with
me up until the end of IB was ‘We know
you are starting to feel a bit stressed and
worried, but trust us, we have done this
before many times. If you tackle the IB
week by week, you’ll be at the finish line
before you know it’. For all incoming students, my advice to you is to do what is
expected of you week by week. Not more,
not less. Do not go ahead alone, but do
not fall behind. Be consistent with your
learning throughout the 20 months. The
workload is a lot, but if you manage and
plan your time effectively, you will find
yourself at the finish line faster than you
would expect.”

DP offered me was
in my opinion the
most valuable aspect of the programme. The range of
subjects and material helped me realize
both my greatest strengths and identify
my weaknesses – in other words, I quickly
recognized that I am not a science person.
I was able to grow as an artist and writer,

my interests within each of my subjects due
