renovation by its owners, while retaining
the historical fabric of the landmark.
If you enjoy a night at the theatre, St
George’s in Great Yarmouth and The
Pavilion Theatre in Gorleston have a
packed programme all year round.
The Pavilion is the epitome of Edwardian
architecture and was built in 1901 by the
architect J.W. Cockrill.
St. George’s Theatre in Great Yarmouth
is another stunning historic building,
originally a consecrated church, but was
deconsecrated in 1950. Local arts groups
have ensured its survival.
Situated within another architectural
gem, watch the latest blockbuster on
one of Arc Cinema’s 昀椀ve screens in
luxurious leather armchairs with generous
legroom, which is situated opposite the
iconic Britannia Pier.
