BROADS &
COUNTRYSIDE
If you’re looking for a more tranquil
holiday away from the bright lights and
lively areas head to the Norfolk Broads.
The beautiful waterways always tempt
visitors aplenty who enjoy navigating the
rivers in sailing and motor cruisers, many
passing through Great Yarmouth to the
southern rivers.
From the north, boats are able to cruise
along reed-lined rivers Thurne and Bure,
past Martham, Thurne, Acle and Stokesby
through breath-taking countryside
views, with historic windmills dotted
on the horizon.

If you just want a taster of the water
you can hire a day boat or if you’ve
chosen to spent a week on the Broads
there are plenty of mooring spots along
the water which are close to watering
holes and tearooms.
Take a riverside walk and spot the wildlife
and nature along the way in the natural
habitats of reserves.
You can also hire canoes, kayaks and
stand-up paddle boards if you want to
experience a di昀昀erent view, or perhaps if
you prefer land to water hire a bicycle or
tandem to ride along the many miles of
cycle path routes.
