CUSTOMER CARE OVERVIEW
Over the last few months, our team has worked meticulously to construct the house that has now
become your home. It’s important to celebrate and enjoy this exciting milestone, but also equally
important to recognize this is the beginning of your homeownership journey. New construction or not,
all homes require timely maintenance to keep them looking and functioning their best.
To play our part in effectively caring for your new home, the below process has been designed to
provide you with the best possible service before, during, and after settlement.
Following this process will set proper expectations and lessen the possibilities of errors or
misunderstandings regarding our Customer Care program. It will require our combined efforts to keep
your beautiful new home looking its best for years to come.
PRE-SETTLEMENT ORIENTATION
Five to seven days prior to settlement, you will meet with a member of your on-site construction team
at your soon-to-be home. The purpose of your Pre-Settlement Orientation is to introduce you to the
important components within you new home, how to operate and maintain them, and to identify any
items within your home that require attention prior to settlement.
This typically includes scratches, marks or imperfections found within any finished materials. Examples
of this include cabinetry, countertops, flooring, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and so on. Please be aware
that only items noted during your Pre-Settlement Orientation will be addressed.
FINAL ORIENTATION
Your Final Orientation Meeting typically takes place the morning of settlement and is used to confirm
the items noted during your previous meeting have been corrected. Depending on the time of year, it’s
possible that some items impacted by weather will remain intentionally incomplete until the next
appropriate installation season. This ensures we are able to complete these items efficiently and to the
best of our ability. Examples of this may include exterior painting, exterior landscaping package, exterior
rake & seed, and driveway top-coat. Your Final Orientation Meeting will also provide an opportunity to
ask any additional questions and review your warranty with a member of our team.
