Possible Deficiency:
Bowed walls.
Performance Standard:
All interior and exterior walls have slight variances on their finished surfaces. Walls should not bow
more than ¼" out of line within any 32" vertical measurement parallel to the stud.
Responsibility:
Builder will correct or repair to meet the Performance Standard.
Possible Deficiency:
Out-of-plumb walls.
Performance Standard:
Walls should not be more than ¼" out of plumb for any 32" vertical measurement.
Responsibility:
Builder will correct or repair to meet the Performance Standard.
Wood Decks
Possible Deficiency:
Pressure-treated, or composite decking, railings, floor joists or support beams and posts warp, split or
crack.
Performance Standard:
Wood decks, pressure-treated wood can, and will, warp, split and crack. The Homeowner must seal
all pressure treated decks, railings, stairs, etc. with an approved wood sealer.
Responsibility:
None.
Possible Deficiency:
Interior or exterior railing becomes unstable.
Performance Standard:
Hand railings are designed and installed for normal residential use by the occupants and guests. If it
is determined that the Homeowner has caused railing parts to loosen and become unsafe, it is not
warranted.
Responsibility:
Builder will repair within the 1st year only.
