The National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators
The National Database of Nursing
Quality Indicators (NDNQI), is a
voluntary database that benchmarks
unit-specific quality metrics. With
over 3,000 members, we compare our
performance to similar units and
hospitals across the United States.
As the largest database of its kind,
98% of Magnet® facilities participate
in NDNQI. The expectation of

the benchmark most of the time in
most of the units. The visual below

goal.
In response to the opportunity to
improve patient falls with injury, the
organization-wide Fall Prevention
Steering Committee was chartered.

This committee provides oversight
for the fall prevention efforts
at WDH, facilitating a monthly
preventability analysis of all falls,
quarterly trend review, and a forum
to share best practices and evaluate
effectiveness of preventive measures.
