GLENFIDDICH
1937 RARE COLLECTION 64 YEAR OLD
44% | 70cl
In the year of King George VI’s coronation, cask
number 843 began its long journey. Filled with
spirit distilled on 17th July 1937 at Glenfiddich
distillery, this unrepeatable cask was laid down to
gently mature and evolve. Patiently cared for under
the watchful eye of Glenfiddich’s warehousemen,
they made regular reports to keep Glenfiddich’s Malt
Master up to date with this precious, ageing malt.
After a myriad of samples were drawn for nosing and
tasting under the innate skill of Glenfiddich’s Malt
Master, David Stewart, it was not until 2001 that
cask 843 was declared ready to be bottled as one of
the finest whiskies in the world.
After 64 years, very thirsty angels left only 61 bottles
of this singular whisky. Each bottle has been sold,
but every now and then a bottle comes around, such
as the one we are able to bring to auction in The
Perfect Collection.
This is the oldest expression to have ever been
released by Glenfiddich, reflecting the exceptional
rarity of the 1937 Glenfiddich and the appeal to
collectors everywhere to own such a truly unique
bottle.
