Message from the Ice Festival Committee
42 YEARS! Can you believe it?
Time flies, and so does everything else at the Lac La Biche Ice
Festival—including airplanes landing right on the ice! This year,
we’re raising the stakes with a brand-new, heart-pounding
addition: Mega Trucks are hitting the ice for the very first time!
Hold onto your seats because this is going to be one wild weekend!
That’s right—airplanes, race cars, snowmobiles, drag races, and
mega trucks! It’s everything you’ve come to love about our
incredible festival, but turned up to the max. If you thought it
couldn’t get any better, think again. This year, we’ve packed in
even more excitement, thrills, and fun for everyone!
We’ve got something for all ages—snow and ice sculpting
masterpieces by the Alberta Sculptors Association, a Kids Fun Day
that'll keep the little ones laughing, and a ton of other jawdropping activities. Vintage snowmobiles will be shining at the
Snow’n’Shine, snowmobile enthusiasts can enjoy a thrilling Trail
Ride, and business showcases will take you on-ice. You can even
try your hand at axe-throwing or check out hands-on
demonstrations from the LLB Trappers Local 1120.
We’re not stopping anytime soon. With over 40 years of heartpounding action, we’re just getting started. There’s no slowing us
down, especially with the Western Canadian Car Ice Racing
Championships, snowmobile drags, and one of the only on-ice flyin aircraft events in all of Western Canada! This is the kind of
weekend you’ll remember for years to come.
But none of this would be possible without the incredible support
of our volunteers and the amazing community that makes all of this
come to life. And hey, we’re always on the lookout for new ideas
and more hands to help make the festival even bigger and better!
